Anclote Sign Corporation was started by four family members with a big vision. The main vision holder is Patrick Gipson (founder and CEO). Pat had over 20 years of experience in the sign industry before he decided to start his own company. In 2000, pat achieved a huge goal by earning the coveted Electrical Specialty Contractors license (ES0000373). This license is required by the state of Florida to pull permits and operate in the sign industry. After achieving this goal, pat knew that he could start his own company but was not sure if it was the right time. Next came an event that would make up his mind. While working long hours at a Miami mall job, Pat was working an extension ladder and the ladder slipped from underneath him and he fell 12 feet straight down, severely injuring his leg. After a painful recovery, Pat decided it was time to go out on his own and in 2001 Anclote Sign Corporation opened its doors for business. The next vision holder is his wife Shari. Shari was working long hours at a pharmaceutical warehouse and was getting tired of going nowhere. When the timing was right, Shari left her old job and became a part of Anclote Signs assuming the office manager roll. Our third vision holder is Mark, Pat and Shari’s son. Mark was still in high school when the business opened but would work during the summer and on weekends. After graduating high school in 2004 mark had a calling. His calling was to serve his country in United States Air Force. After a four year term in the Air Force and three tours of duty in the Middle East, mark returned home in June of 2008 to help run the family business by assuming many different rolls in the company. Our final vision holder is Serena, Pat and Shari’s daughter. Serena started helping out with the business when she was 16. She started working with computer graphics and office work. She is now head of the graphics department among many other duties
